The Graphics Queen of the World

Martine Carlsen is my friend in Denmark, and my partner in a new joint venture: a children’s picture book to be published sometime in June of this year. It’s about our second favorite animal, the llama, and we think it will appeal to adults and young readers. In fact, we’re already making plans for Hollywood!

The book had been rolling around in my mind for about three years, but I can’t draw worth diddly, and I waited until I could find the perfect artist, which I found  in Martine. This woman is a drawing machine, and a true Graphics Queen, and the images she’s created so far for the book have moved me to smiles, laughter, and tears. She’s that good – believe it.
