The sweet scent of a puppy’s breath,
My kitty’s kisses on my face
To reach a state approaching Grace

Hello World! It’s 2009

Posted on January 6, 2009. Filed under: Uncategorized |

I’ve made it through the Christmas and New Years holidays with a LOT of help from my friends, and my dear son, Lance. I’ve kept busy with my About.com site, and schmoozing with my friends and coworkers on Facebook.
Even with the lousy economic outlook, I expect 2009 to be a good year.
I think I’ll survive! [...]

Asa – Rio Villa on the Russian River

It’s been six months today, since my husband of 50 years left my side.  During all those years, we seldom were apart, and when we were, he was always on my mind (Cue in Willy Nelson.) The only thing that has changed is the empty hole in my [...]

Plagiarizering Bloggers Just Don’t Get It!

Posted on October 28, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized |

My cat articles for About.com are fairly popular, according to Google.  I also spend a fair amount of time creating them, and pride myself at being considered an “expert” about cats.  I don’t claim to know it all, but I research everything I write thoroughly.
That’s why it’s so frustrating to see my hard work stolen [...]

Bringing Up-to-Date Part 2

Posted on October 2, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , |

A few weeks after Asa’s passing I received an email from Jonathan Rosenberg, Founder and Executive Director of Tabby’s Place (www.tabbysplace.org). He told me that he and his staff had placed a brick in your honor in their Memorial Path, and went on to say, “Asa’s brick is near the entrance of the walkway and [...]

Bringing Up-to-Date Part 1

Posted on October 1, 2008. Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , |

It’s been a long, rough year since I last posted. My dear husband, Asa had been battling cancer (metastasized melanoma) since January of 2005, and after 13 months of biochemotherapy (over 120 days in an ICU unit together), he was proclaimed in remission, with no sign of cancer (below the neck.) In March of 2007, [...]

Loch Ness Monster Sighting Becomes a Circus

Posted on June 8, 2007. Filed under: FSyufy.com, Lucy, the Loch Ness Llama, Uncategorized |

It seems that everyone wants to get in on the Loch Ness Monster act !
Popular Author Steve Alten, who penned MEG, a Novel of Deep Terror, soon to be made into a movie, also has written The Loch, a thriller about the Loch Ness Monster, who is–get this–a giant EEL. Alten, of course, [...]

Loch Ness Monster Sighted Again

Posted on June 1, 2007. Filed under: Lucy, the Loch Ness Llama, Uncategorized |

It’s the miracle I’d been hoping for, since Lucy, the Loch Ness Llama was first published in May and only a few weeks later, it happened, for the first time in several years.

She’s Alive!

Posted on May 23, 2007. Filed under: FSyufy.com, Lucy, the Loch Ness Llama, Uncategorized |

FSyufy.com is finally online, thanks to the remarkable web design talents of the multi-faceted Martine Carlsen. Our new children’s book, Lucy, the Loch Ness Llama is also available from that site at a fantastic discount from the publisher’s price. I can modestly say that if you love Disney stories, you’ll really love Lucy. An [...]

Introducing: Lucy, the Loch Ness Llama

Posted on May 10, 2007. Filed under: Lucy, the Loch Ness Llama, Uncategorized |

Sorry for all the mystery, but the creation of this book has consumed a large portion of my “spare time.” Martine Carlsen, the book’s illustrator, and I have been burning up the atmosphere with our emails flying back and forth between California and Denmark. (Maybe a new cause of “global warming?”)
As unbelievable as it may [...]
